The Confederation of Philippine Jewelers Inc. (CPJI) was formed and registered at the
Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in April 30, 2003 at the behest of the Department of Trade
and Industry to serve as the umbrella organization of all existing jewelry organizations in the country
and to be the official single voice of the jewelry sector. It is now composed of eight (8) jewelry associations.
Its members include manufacturers, contractors, gold dealers, precious stone dealers, corredoras, tools
and equipment dealers, and jewelry consultants/trainors. The major products of its members are: Fine
jewelry made of gold and silver with precious stones, pearls, diamonds, as well as costume jewelry.
Primary purpose:
To promote the jewelry industry in the Philippines, with the objective of hastening its development
and growth in order to produce high quality jewelry for both the domestic and international markets.
Secondary purposes:
- Serve as the umbrella organization of all existing associations involved in the jewelry industry;
- Be the official representative of the jewelry industry and provide a forum for all persons,
association and other institutions involved in the jewelry industry;
- Promote better liaison, cooperation and coordination among members of the jewelry industry
and establish linkage with government agencies involved;
- Promote ethical business practices and product standards to encourage cooperation among
those engaged in jewelry and its allied or complementary industries;
- Assist members avail of incentives, grants and assistance from the government and NGOs
for the development of the jewelry industry;
- Provide training programs that will enable its members increase their productivity and improve
the quality of their products.
Vision: The Confederation of Philippine Jewelers, Inc., envisions the Philippine Jewelry Industry to
become Asia’s Jewelry Capital, through sustainable development of the industry’s strongest attributes
and inherent assets.
Mission: To develop the Philippines as a reliable source of jewelry, utilizing the long tradition of design,
artistry and craftsmanship of our people and availability of indigenous raw materials for sustainable
growth to benefit the Filipino people, in partnership with government and non-government organizations
